Gaby's 4th Birthday Cake
Gaby said she wanted a flower, a rainbow and a butterfly. This was easy as we had already done a flower and butterfly just a few months earlier so Gaby's cake is really just a smaller version of Sydney's with the addition of a rainbow. We used the small large flower with the motor so that the butterfly would fly around and around. I wanted a rainbow with fiber optic lights along the colors to make it shimmer but I was shot down by because Lili had to transport it to Washington and set it all up. She was afraid it would get damaged somehow and she wouldn't be able to fix it. Ah well, it did make the rainbow really easy to make :). We also added a little butterfly on a spring that had just enough weight to bounce around a bit. A small stream of frosting was added this time as well. I was not able to be there for this cake so Lili solo'ed the whole thing and did a wonderful job. There are only two construction pics here and here.
